News

The IRS has extended the tax due date for 2011 federal income tax forms to April 17, 2012.  The due date for state forms may or may not be extended.  We will post changes to the standard April 15th deadline as they become available.

Standard mileage rates for the tax year beginning January 1, 2012 have just been posted.  See the bottom of our FAQs page for details.

The latest version of the “Maine Residents Property Tax and Rent Refund ‘Circuit Breaker’ Program” applications are ready!  The state will accept applications from August 1, 2011 until May 31, 2012.  Eligible taxpayers may apply for refunds of property tax assessed and/or rent paid during 2010.  See our Links page for more information.
